When it comes to fateful collaborations, Detroit’s Que 9 and Mississippi’s 17th Street Mula are quickly becoming the hottest super-duo in hip hop, seemingly following in the footsteps of Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan, or — as we’ve more recently seen — Lil Durk and Lil Baby. Back in May, the rising stars teamed up for “40 Yard Dash” alongside Jdot Breezy, a justdoitBRISK and SMITH-produced effort that’s quickly reached viral status. Weeks later, Que 9 and 17th Street Mula return with “Zooom,” a melodic drop that sees them confidently flexing their current fame and status over production from 50K:

“Hop in that bih and then I go zoom, I pull that shit out, all eyes on me when I step in the room, that bad lil’ bitch wanna vibe with me, we can go to the moon, she be trying to spend her whole life with me but it’s way too soon…”

“Zooom” also sees an accompanying visual courtesy of Moondo Productions, which sees Que and Mula performing the song in the street, surrounded by an envoy of Mopar awesomeness.

“Zoom” is said to be taken from Que 9 and 17th Street Mula’s forthcoming EP 2 Head Monster, which will showcase more of the cohesion that fans have heard from the two on wax. Via press release, 17th Street Mula speaks on how it feels to connect with his musical cohort:

“Que and I are working together is an otherworldly experience! We give listeners similar vibes as if we were Rae Sremmurd.”

Que 9 also co-signs, and gives his take on their undeniable chemistry:

“It feels great to work with someone with so much in common, we have the same goals for our music, and I never met anyone who thinks as big as me with the music side until Mula.”
