Today, Maroon 5 reveal their seventh studio LP JORDI, a 12-track body of work that sees contributions from Megan Thee Stallion, blackbear, H.E.R., Stevie Nicks, and more — there’s also a deluxe version of the release that adds on two additional cuts and assists from Anuel AA, Tainy, and Jason Derulo. The project’s title pays tribute to the band’s late manager Jordan Feldstein, who sadly transitioned back in 2017.

Two very notable tracks from Adam Levine & Co.’s latest are “Can’t Leave You Alone,” which features Juice WRLD, and a remix of their 2019 hit single “Memories,” which sees them now joined by YG and Nipsey Hussle. The Louis Bell and watt-produced “Can’t Leave You Alone” is centered around toxic relationships, a topic that Juice WRLD was well familiar with prior to his passing:

“She throw the pass to the Devil and I intercept, yeah, have you ever had a make out session with death? Yeah, in a strip club tryna get all the pretty girls to dance, yeah, yeah, yeah, huh, I remember back in high school, they said I wouldn’t stand a chance…”

Meanwhile, “Memories (Remix)” shows artists reflecting on darker times in their past — a difficult to accept notion given that, like Juice WRLD, Nipsey is no longer with us:

“Look, I done lost love, lost fifties, lost dubs, lost fights, thinkin’ lost life of loved ones, lost time, pressin’ rewind, it won’t budge, it’s alright, you can tell me your truth, I won’t judge, I done lost too, relationships you could call true, you hit me up then I gon’ fall through, tellin’ lies to say I’m true, like it’s all you, learn to love, wasn’t perfect, that’s what God do…”

Fans can press play on both “Memories (Remix)” and “Can’t Leave You Alone,” as well as JORDI, below.
