Wifisfuneral is back with some new music for his fans to enjoy. Today, he liberates the new EP Smoking Mirrors, which sees seven hard-hitting cuts — including “CC Demon,” a collaboration with Jetsonmade and Ye Ali that sees him harmonizing about women and money:
“Know you wanna leave but your heart wanna stay, had the double bitches, I don’t want no dates, wrist Cartier, so much diamonds in the face, Oooh, lil’ mama know she gotta get a taste, double C’s on the thighs and the waist, and she riding me, ooh, out of place, baby, ride ‘til you die, it’s okay, counting so many commas my way…/”
Back in 2018, Wifisfuneral joined the likes of Lil Pump, Trippie Redd, Smokepurpp, YBN Nahmir, J.I.D., and Stefflon Don as a member of the XXL Freshman class, after which the Floridian-based star began to deliver well-received projects like CONN3CT3D with Robb Banks, Ethernet Vol. 2, and Ev3rything Sucks. Sometime last year, Wifi surprised many by announcing his retirement via tweet due to apparent personal issues:
“I don’t really know how to put this into words or actually explain this the best way possible but I’m officially retiring from rapping … Thank you all so much and I love you. Until we meet again.”
Thankfully, he did return with his official debut LP PAIN?, a 14-track offering with contributions from Coi Leray, Smoove’L, and Mariah Angeliq.
In a past sit-down for REVOLT’s “Memory Lane” series, Wifisfuneral spoke on how he began taking music seriously:
“It’s started off like, just as something to do, and then, like, I just naturally grew love for it, because like, my dad was like always bringing me to studios, this, that… I was always around it, I just picked up to it naturally.”
