It’s kinda tough to deny Moneybagg Yo’s talent, even if you wanted to. From his braggadocious swag to his witty and infectious bars/flow, he’s become a fan favorite and a household name over recent years. Since the release of his fourth mixtape Relentless back in 2015, it’s almost like he had some of Michael Jordan’s “Secret Stuff” from the movie Space Jam because he hasn’t stopped delivering since. Signing with Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group (CMG) in October of 2016 only fueled the fire that was already burning senseless. As we enter into the prime time of Spring, the Memphis bred rapper delivers his fourth studio album A Gangsta’s Pain.

Recently, Moneybagg announced his earnings for each show and A Gangsta’s Pain just did nothing but further compliment why he is deserving of that amount (if not higher). Not only that, his hit record “Time Today” recently reached its Gold certification, as confirmed by the the RIAA. The timing couldn’t have been better and judging from the sound of the album, we’ll have a promising summer as well.

The album consists of 22 records with musical contributions from some of the hottest names in the industry today: KAASH Paige, Big 30, Future, Tripstar, Chicago stars Polo G and Lil Durk, Jhene Aiko and the living legend Pharrell. A Gangsta’s Pain follows Bagg’s 2020 album Time Served. “My album is really the soundtrack to this situation,” said the CMG rapper. “When you hear this album, it’s going to touch you in different ways, in all different types, like it’s different waves on this album.”

Recently, he described that it would be split into two parts: one that dissects his pain, and another that tells his gangsta story. Though fans were highly anticipating this release. the wait is over and Moneybagg Yo has done it again. Check out A Gangsta’s Pain below.
