In celebration of 4/20, Snoop Dogg liberated his eighteenth — yes, eighteenth — studio album From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites, a 10 track offering with additional appearances from Mozzy, Larry June, Kokane, Big Tray Deee, Goldie Loc, Devin The Dude, ProHoeZak, and more. Following its release, the Cali legend unveiled a new visual from the project “Look Around,” a J Black-assisted effort that reminds listeners what it took for Snoop to reach his current position over nostalgic production from Nottz:

“I got a hundred thousand niggas with me, and the motherfuckin’ police still fucking with me, but I don’t give a fuck, nigga, come and deal with me, I’m acting stupid silly, my lil’ bitch from Philly/

She sent a nigga 20 G’s, cheese through the mail, and now I’m fillin’ up with L’s, gotta keep a lawyer just in case you niggas tell, probably squeal, nigga, probably will, Polly want a cracker, nigga, Polly wanna tell…/”

Directed by The Bakery, the accompanying video takes us through time, as Snoop can be seen sifting through classic rap records — some of which he reimagines with himself embedded within its artwork. Some of the albums seen throughout include Ice Cube’s AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, Ice-T’s Power, Too $hort’s Life Is…Too Short, LL Cool J’s Radio, Slick Rick’s The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane’s Long Live The Kane, Boogie Down ProductionsBy Any Means Necessary, Eric B. & Rakim’s Paid & Full, and Eazy E’s Eazy-Duz-It. The clip is definitely a reminder of some of the most iconic moments in hip hop history to date, made even more amazing by the fact that Snoop’s status is among the many emcees mentioned.
