Verzuz is bringing its musical battles to the popular fitness platform Peloton.

According to Variety, the partnership, which has been named Peloton Verzuz, “is like nothing that Peloton has ever done before,” and will “come to life during Peloton’s motivational classes taught by its best-in-class instructors available via the Peloton Bike, Tread or App which offers a 30-day free trial to new members.”

Timbaland and Swizz Beatz launched Verzuz at the start of the pandemic last year to give people a form of entertainment as millions were stuck in the house during quarantine. “Music is the one thing to me that drives a workout,” said Tim. “The right song can make you go harder, the wrong song will make you not want to do it.”

“I feel that the parallel lines with Verzuz and Peloton are the same,” Swizz added. “You’re in the zone. Your energy is there. Everybody’s in the VIP, the same seats, at the show.”

To kick-off the new collaboration and Women’s History Month, the first Peloton Verzuz class will be Brandy Vs. Monica — whose August Verzuz battle garnered more than 6 million viewers across Instagram and Apple Music. Workout members will be able to choose whether they are #VerzuzBrandy or #VerzuzMonica during their class, which is set to launch March 29 at 7 p.m. ET.

The next matchup that will be available to Peloton users will be between Swizz Beatz vs. Timbaland. Forthcoming Verzuz classes will be announced in the near future.

“Both Peloton and Verzuz are rooted in engaged communities who show up for each other and celebrate together,” said Gwen Bethel Riley, Peloton’s Head of Music. “Taking the musical phenomena that is Verzuz and eventizing it, in a way that is unique to Peloton, will provide our members with a way to access incredible artists and their legendary catalogs across multiple disciplines.”
