D Smoke has dropped off a brand new single, a nod to the well-loved songtress Sade. Naming the song after her, the new “Sade” song finds him in an introspective state while dealing with a lover. Paired with the new single is an official remix to one of his Black Habits stand-out tracks “Gaspar Yanga.” On the original track, Smoke came in blazing with the opening verse:

D-S-M-O-K-E, bitch, it’s official, I got these other n***as in quite a dill of a pickle’/ Cause they bitch want me to pour champagne drip off the nipples, get off, kick off the party, lift off and piss off the people/ Who kiss up to the establishment, haven’t you seen they ego? Like me, no/ I used to do this shit ‘cause I loved it, busted for free though, I still do this shit for the love, but add another zero/ A hero, in my city I’m Diddy mixed with Rico, strong, I throw this dick at my lady like it’s a free throw

The aformentioned Black Habits album dropped a little over a year ago. L ast month, the project received a deluxe upgrade, which altogether contains 20 cuts and additional appearances from E-40, Snow Tha Product, Snoop Dogg, Jill Scott, Ari Lennox, blood brothers SiR and Davion Farris, and more. The album also boasted equally dope visuals for “Commas,” “Gaspar Yanga,” “Lights On,” and “It’s Ok.” The California star also blessed his fans with loose singles like “Let Go” and “Rapture,” and contributed his talents to other songs like Rapsody’s “Afeni (Remix),” Jac Ross’ “It’s OK To Be Black 2.0,” and Tobe Nwigwe’s “HEADSHOTS.”

“I‘m proud to put out two songs on the same day that represent both sides of me,” Smoke shares about the two songs via press release. “‘Gaspar Yanga (Remix)’ with its warrior-chant sound and aggressive language, pays homage to the Afro- Latino liberator by the same name, who successfully led a revolution, while ‘Sade’ speaks to the complexities of love and artistry. These songs together serve as a 1-2 punch from the heart of Inglewood.”
