Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu slammed Piers Morgan after he tried to defend the Royal Family against racism allegations following Oprah Winfrey’s highly anticipated interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

On Monday (March 8), the political and women’s rights activist appeared on “Good Morning Britain” to discuss the explosive interview where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that one member of the Royal Family discussed how dark their son’s skin would be. Morgan defended the Queen and her family and said the interview was an “absolutely disgraceful betrayal.”

“What about the behavior of Harry and Meghan, who are spray-gunning his family on global television as [Prince Philip] lies in the hospital?” the television personality said. “You might laugh, I don’t think it’s funny.”

“What I don’t think is funny is the fact that you are such a disappointment,” replied Dr. Mos-Shogbamimu. “I wish to God one day you even surprise me. You constantly use your platform as a wealthy, white, privileged man with power and influence to aggravate and escalate the bigoted sexist, racist and misogynist attacks on Meghan Markle. And you do it so shamelessly.”

People on social media were ecstatic that Dr. Mos-Shogbamimu “chose violence” against Morgan on International Women’s Day. HuffPost journalist Philip Lewis tweeted, “Good morning to Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu only, who woke up this morning and dragged Piers Morgan.”

“Piers Morgan destroyed by a woman on live TV for trying to defend the Queen and the Royal Family on International Women’s Day,” tweeted @ankamagyimi__. “Things I like to see for constantly hating on Mesut Özil. I’m so happy Dr. Shola [tore] him apart.”

Social media user @Tomsmith92 wrote, “Piers Morgan hates it when he gets the Piers Morgan treatment on his own show. He met his match today in Dr. Shola #gmb.”

Former “Love and Hip Hop Miami” star Jessie Woo tweeted, “Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu got Piers Morgan and his receding toupé ALL THE WAY TOGETHER! #OprahMeghanHarry.”
