If it’s one thing that Drake is going to do — he’s going to deliver, and deliver well every single time. Since his arrival on the scene back in 2006, the OVO general has only gotten better with time and it’s truly dope to witness greatness unfold through the years. Since the start of 2021, we’ve been fortunate enough to receive a great amount of quality music across the board. While coming off of a prosperous 2020 with his Lil Durk-assisted smash hit “Laugh Now, Cry Later,” Drake has surprised fans worldwide with the release of his new EP Scary Hours.

The release of Scary Hours 2 comes as a relief for Drake fans, who have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the rapper’s highly anticipated album Certified Lover Boy. The LP was originally slated to drop in January 2021 before being pushed back; although Drake has insisted that Certified Lover Boy will still be out this year, no new release date has been publicly announced.

“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” Drake wrote in an Instagram story in January. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t dropping in January. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”

The first Scary Hours EP was released in 2018. The two-track project contained his major hit “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity,” with “God’s Plan” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The record also appeared on Drake’s album Scorpion. This project is the best appetizer for us to indulge in and hold us over until the main entree (Certified Lover Boy) arrives this year.
