Since the start of 2020, G Perico decided to keep the streets fed with a slew of loose cuts, including “One More Day,” “Toolie,” and “That Time.” In addition, the Los Angeles star could also be seen contributing to songs like Vanderslice’s “Barry White Shit,” Terrace Martin’s “Pig Feet,” and Jay Worthy’s “Routine.” Following his first official entry into the new year with the Rucci-assisted “Keep Killin,” G Perico then blessed his fans with the six-track offering Free, which saw a single assist from Garren and was released under the rapper’s own Perico’s Innerprize imprint, a presumed sign that he’s moved on from his Roc Nation partnership.

Today, Perico unveiled a new visual from Free for “Talk About It,” which is produced by Kacey Khaliel and may or may not be sampling from Stan Getz and Luiz Bonfá’s “Saudade Vem Correndo” — the same sample made popular by The Pharcyde via their Labcabincalifornia cut “Runnin’.” Regardless, Perico uses the track to remind listeners of the streets that he represents:

“From the pen to the streets, straight to the hood same day I got released, dug up my money, 140 Gs, on the side of the house 111 East/

I’m a n***a where I come from, n***as call me Skrilla where I come from, it’s a whole gang of killin’ where I come from, ain’t no tellin’ who’s snitchin’ where I come from, no parole I’m free, everyday I used to duck the LAPD…/”

The aforementioned video comes courtesy of Macksimo and mainly shows G Perico with an old-school whip in a blue-tinted setting. Viewers can also see shots of Perico’s west coast stomping grounds, as well as the locals that still reside within — a clear message that Ten-Eight emcee is still a welcomed part of his neighborhood.
