Back in 2016, Jeremih and Chance The Rapper joined forces for the holiday-themed release Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama, which saw nine tracks and features from King Louie, Hannibal Buress, Lud Foe, and Noname. Then, they delivered a Re-Wrapped version of that project, adding on ten additional cuts for the 2017 holiday season. This week, the duo decided to reach back to Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama (Re-Wrapped) to bring forth an unreleased visual for “Are U Live?,” which features fellow Chicagoan Valee. The three can be heard riffing off of each other with just-for-fun rhymes over some creeping production from CHASETHEMONEY:

“At Mariano’s, I got the pooch, I got the loot, eatin’ good, at Mariano’s, I got my pooch, I got the puppy, I got the pump, thanks to the mailman, I got the dump, I hit a lick, didn’t touch your tongue/

I got blue huns, separate the ones, take it to Chase, facin’ a blunt, Fogo De Chao, that was for lunch, I’m tryna dunk, skip to my lou…/”

The video comes courtesy of Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett, who seemed to be present at a live studio session with the trio and some friends. Chance, Jeremih, and Valee can be seen playing video games and partying to the music, providing the type of positive atmosphere that’s perfect for the last month of the year. Given that this was filmed long before the Coronavirus pandemic took hold of the planet, it’s also a clear reminder of how awesome life was when we were able to go outside.

In other good news, Chance The Rapper took to social media to reveal that Jeremih will soon be released from the hospital following an extreme bout with COVID-19 — one that reportedly left him in ICU and on a ventilator:
