Fresh off the release of his World Got Me F**ked Up Reloaded project, Slayter wastes no time and keeps his foot on the gas. Today (Nov 6), the NY rapper shares the new music video for “Headlines” featuring Yungeen Ace & Lil Jairmy. On the track, Slayter comes in with a hook about fallen soldiers:

Move how I move because of you. Tell me about the drugs that I abuse. So many fallen soldiers on the news, you don’t want me to be one of them, too. N***as tryna figure me out, pull up on ‘em like what’s that about. Your b*tch got a big mouth, I just kick that b*tch out. In the studio I sit down and I only make hits now.

The new World Got Me F**ked Up Reloaded project sees six brand new additional tracks. At the top of the summer, Slayter dropped his World Got Me F**ked Up, Vol. 1 project. The 12-track body of work included a solid line up of guest appearances from names like Benny The Butcher, Smoke DZA, Retch, 22Gz, Maxo Cream, Sada Baby, Luh Kel, and more. Prior to this, he released his featureless COLD AT NIGHT project in 2019.

In a previous interview, Slayter touched on current state that New York hip-hop is in:

“I feel like it’s at an all-time high right now. A Boogie, Cardi B, 22gz, we got Lil TJay he’s going crazy. We got a bunch of artists doing their thing. We’ve got the whole uptown sound with artists like Sheck Wes too. It’s crazy how NY got all these sounds going on at the same time. A Boogie sounds nothing like Sheck Wes, Sheck Wes sounds nothing like Lil TJay, and I sound like none of the above. We are able to tell about our experiences with all different sounds and perspectives.”
