Next month, Dizzee Rascal will liberate his seventh studio album E3 AF, which will see ten new tracks from the London legend and is led by the Chip-assisted cut “L.L.L.L. (Love Life Live Large).” This week, he delivers another single from the project titled “Act Like You Know,” which features assistance from South London outfit Smoke Boys, formerly known as Section Boyz. The track sees Dizzee, Swift, and Deepee trading bars over production from Vader Beatz and MKThePlug:
“Act like you know, the world don’t stop, act like you know, gotta get that guap, act like you know when you talk like you’re hot, you can still get got, anyone can get dropped/
Act like you know, I don’t window shop, act like you know, I just clock and cop, act like you know, rude girl, don’t flop, if you’re gonna give top, let me know, if not, then bop…/”
E3 AF will follow 2017’s Raskit, which saw Dizzee working alongside producers like Cardo, Donae’o, Salva, The HeavyTrackerz, and more. His debut album, Boy in da Corner, was released back in 2003 and is considered by many to be one of the earliest commercial successes within UK’s grime culture. He joins the likes of Wiley, Lethal Bizzle, and Kano as one of the few who has enjoyed mainstream fame using the genre-bending sound.
Earlier this week (September 9), he took part in GRM Daily’s Rated Awards event, where he become this year’s recipient of the Legacy Award. In celebration of the honor, he also delivered an amazing performance, recreating his Boy in da Corner artwork and giving crazy renditions of classic cuts like “Sittin’ Here,” “Live O,” “I Luv U,” and “Bonkers.”
Fans can press play on both Dizzee Rascal’s “Act Like You Know” and, if you missed it, the visual for “L.L.L.L.” E3 AF officially makes landfall October 9.
