Griselda has been a striking force in the industry for a while now and it’s no surprise that their lyrical abilities have placed them on such a high pedestal. Since the earlier stages of 2020, the trio (Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine & Benny The Butcher) have been on a prowl as they’ve done either one of three things: drop a fire project, deliver stellar features, or both.

With this kind of fire power, it’s almost impossible to not enjoy what they’re doing. While being lethal as a collective, they prove time and time again how potent they are individually. Today, Benny The Butcher links up with the one and only DJ Drama to deliver their Da Respected Sopranos Gangsta Grillz mixtape.

“I’m sick of u niggas real street dope boy shit is back — u liars never sold nothin never slept in a cell in the mountains never put nobody on” stated The Butcher in his tweet. While it’s not clear exactly who he’s speaking to, we all know one thing — hit dogs will holler.

Teaming up with Mr. Thanksgiving himself, this was one of the best moves that Benny could have made so far. If you’re familiar with DJ Drama, you’d understand why he’s arguably the greatest mixtape DJ ever. Once upon a time, you weren’t considered “stamped” until Dram blessed you with a Gangsta Grillz mixtape. It seems as though DJ Drama is starting up another epic run for his legendary mixtape series and Benny is the perfect match to light the fire.

Kicking off his 2020 takeover, the BSF (Black Soprano Family) general uses takes this opportunity to put the family on the forefront — Ricky Hyde, Loveboat Luciano, Jonesy and Heem. We often hear Benny stating “The Butcher coming,” but The Butcher is indeed here today and he smells blood.

Tap in to Da Respected Sopranos below and don’t snooze!
