Drake’s latest extravagant jewelry purchase depicts a familiar face — the legendary Tupac Shakur. Drizzy showed off his two new honorary chains of the late rapper — crafted by Jason of Beverly Hills — on his Instagram Story Wednesday night (July 29).

“Always wanted twin Jesus pieces,” he captioned a clip of the matching necklaces. “Thank you [Jason of Beverly Hills].”

The jeweler also shared a video of the pieces to Instagram, writing, “Thank you [Drake] for trusting us with this project. Unbelievable honor to help pay homage to the legend Tupac Shakur.”

The two chains each boast 70 karats of white and gold diamonds with a pendant of Tupac’s face. The late rapper is pictured wearing both a red and blue bandana and a diamond-encrusted headband. According to Complex, both pieces are estimated at $300,000 each and took approximately five weeks to create.

This isn’t the first time Drake has showed off an expensive new jewelry piece. Back in January, the OVO boss and Future celebrated their five-times platinum hit “Life Is Good” with matching chains.

Drake has also had a reason to celebrate this week, as he recently became the artist with the most Top 10 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 of all time. Drake’s latest collaborations with DJ Khaled — “Popstar” and “Greece” — each debuted within the Top 10 on the chart, pulling him ahead of Madonna, whom he was previously tied with at 38 song entries.

The chains also arrive ahead of some new music from the Toronto-bred star. On Wednesday (July 29), his producer Noel announced that Drake’s upcoming studio album is now 90 percent complete.

“Studio for my bday,” Noel shared on Instagram. “We 90% but y’all gonna have to wait on that last 10%.”
