Lil Durk is keeping busy during the quarantine. On May 8, the Chicago star is releasing the new project Just Cause Y’all Waited 2, the follow-up to its 2018 predecessor. Today, he blesses the fans with a visual from the forthcoming drop titled “Viral Moment,” which sees production from Uncle Cameron and TouchofTrent. The track give Durk the opportunity to pour his heart out about the streets, his struggles, loyalty, and more:

“This s*** was different, we was together like ten years ago, and I don’t talk to a lotta n***as, but they still the bros/

The one I ain’t talk to like that back then know they still hoes, and some n***as try to hide their hate but that s*** still shows/

I never f***ed on block h*** because I call ‘em sisters, one hate me right now as I speak because I called her a hooker/

Cut the loose ends, I cut ‘em off, they try to stay I’m a butcher, b***h, you a rat, never mind, I changed my life, I’m Muslim…/”

The accompanying visual comes courtesy of Jerry Production and sees Lil Durk and his homies posted up on the block and living it up in his mansion, complete with cars, money, and jewelry. One can only hope that this was shot prior to the country’s social distancing measures.

In addition to “Viral Moment,” The 15-track Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 will see previous releases “Turn Myself In,” “All Love,” and the G Herbo-assisted “Chiraq Demons.” Previously, Durk released Love Songs 4 the Streets 2, which saw 16 tracks and features from 21 Savage, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, King Von, Meek Mill, and Nicki Minaj. That project proved to be one of Durk’s most successful, earning a number four spot on the Billboard 200 with 44,000 equivalent album units sold.
