Kim Kardashian West hosted “Saturday Night Live” yesterday (Oct. 9) and for the most part, her monologue and skits were well received by viewers. Nothing seemed to be off limits for the reality star who took jabs at her sisters, her mom’s boyfriend Cory Gamble, her ex-husband Kanye West and even O.J. Simpson.

Dressed in a hot pink attire, Kardashian West spoke about her social justice work with wrongly-accused prisoners before launching her first joke about Simpson. “My father was and still is such an influence and inspiration to me and I credit him with really opening up my eyes to racial injustice. It’s because of him that I met my first Black person,” Kardashian-West said. “Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was?”

“I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first Black person you met but O.J. does leave a mark or several. Or not at all. I still don’t know,” she added.

Later in the show, “SNL” veteran Kenan Thompson portrayed Simpson in a sketch, while Kardashian West acted as a fictitious, uninterested judge. For Judge Kourtney Kardashian’s final case, Thompson stepped to the podium as Simpson. “Hey, Kourtney it’s me, O.J. Simpson. The “Juice.” I’m your dad’s old friend. Aye, how come y’all don’t invite me to anything anymore? Hey, where is everybody going?” he said.

Many people who tuned in took to Twitter to share their takes on Kim K’s remarks about her father’s former friend/client.

“Kim Kardashian made OJ Simpson jokes on Saturday night live. I’m weak,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Kim Kardashian talking about OJ Simpson “stab in the dark” is an all-time SNL monologue right now,” wrote another tweeter.

“Wow! Kim Kardashian nailed her monologue on #SaturdayNightLive The “OJ Simpson” touch is my favourite,” wrote @OfficialDewale

Other tweeters didn’t seem to find the jokes about O.J. funny. “Imagine how Nicole Brown’s family must feel, or OJ Simpsons children who lost their mother… #KimKardashian #SNL,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Very disappointed in you @KimKardashian and @nbcsnl for the OJ Simpson jokes. Domestic violence is not funny and it’s shameful you would include jokes about it, especially during #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth,” wrote @kendallanntweet.

“The bit about OJ Simpson was in extremely poor taste since Nicole and Ron Goldman were brutally murdered and her two kids lost their mother,” tweeter wrote.

“Kim Kardashian killed it in her SNL monologue, especially with those OJ Simpson jokes,” read another tweet.
