According to reports, Simpson was released from the Lovelock Correctional Center shortly after midnight, at 12:08AM PT (Oct. 1) where an unidentified driver was waiting for him in the parking lot.
While a spokesperson claimed they had no idea where he was headed, his first seconds out on parole were documented by the Nevada Department of Corrections, with the clip promptly being posted to their Facebook page.
The late night release was intentional, with the department looking to avoid a media frenzy and "to ensure public safety and reduce the potential for incident."
As a parolee, Simpson will have to meet several conditions as set by the Nevada parole board, such as no hanging out with ex-convicts and no excess alcohol consumption.
