Nick Cannon is continuing to try to smooth things over with the Jewish community. He recently teased a clip for an upcoming interview on his “Cannon’s Class” podcast where he and Rabbi Abraham Cooper spoke about the controversy surrounding his alleged anti-Semitic comments.

In the clip, Cannon says, “I made a lot of people mad, your community mad — I made my community mad for apologizing.” He then goes on to say that he doesn’t have hate towards any group of people. He believes the Jewish community and Black community should be connected based on their hate of white supremacy.

Last week, the “Masked Singer” host was dropped by ViacomCBS after he was accused of making anti-Semitic comments. “Our melanin is so powerful and it connects us in a way that the reason why [white people] fear us is because of the lack that they have of it,” Cannon said. “When you have a person that has the lack of pigment, the lack of melanin, they know that they will be annihilated. So therefore, however they got the power, they have the lack of compassion — melanin comes with compassion, melanin comes with soul.”

He continued, “It’s never hate speech, you can’t be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people. When we are the same people who they want to be. That’s our birthright. We are the true Hebrews.”

Cannon issued an apology to the Jewish community following the backlash. “First and foremost, I extend my deepest and most sincere apologies to my Jewish sisters and brothers for the hurtful and divisive words that came out of my mouth during my interview with Richard Griffin,” he tweeted. “They reinforced the worst stereotypes of a proud and magnificent people and I feel ashamed of the uninformed and naïve place that these words came from.”

The release date for the upcoming episode of “Cannon’s Class” has not been announced, but Cannon says it’s “coming soon.” Check out a clip from the interview below.
