On Wednesday (July 15), REVOLT Media & TV Chairman Sean “Diddy” Combs and Roma Khanna made the announcement that Khanna will be stepping down from her role as the company’s CEO. Instead, she will be taking on a new role as an advisor to REVOLT’s senior team and shareholders.

In the three years that Khanna led the company, REVOLT achieved many successes that further solidified the network as the premier outlet of Hip Hop culture and Black excellence. Some of these many accomplishments include launching “State of the Culture,” “REVOLT BLACK NEWS,” and creating the multi-city REVOLT Summit x AT&T. The network’s distribution expanded as well, as it struck package deals with AT&T platforms, Mediacom, Philo, Sling, and more. Moreover, REVOLT’s digital platforms, which include its social media accounts and website, have increased in audience, impressions and viewership.

“REVOLT’s time is now and I am very proud to pass the reins to our next generation of amazing leaders as they rise and guide the future,” Khanna said about the announcement. “I am grateful to our Chairman, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, for his unwavering support and guidance along the way. REVOLT is forever in my heart and I look forward to continuing to support the team, our audience and Sean Combs as an ally and advisor.”

“I am grateful for Roma’s relentless work over the last three years getting REVOLT ready for the revolution,” added Combs. “She has been an ally to the culture and the company. Roma will always be a part of the Combs family and I am happy to have her as an advisor to REVOLT going forward.”

Colin McIntosh, EVP and Head of Finance and Operations; and Detavio Samuels, COO and Head of Content, will now take on the roles of Co-Heads of REVOLT. In these additional positions, they will be in charge of the day-to-day leadership of the company. McIntosh and Samuels will report to Tarik Brooks, COO of Combs Enterprises.
