Kelly Price briefly returned from her social media hiatus on Monday (Sept. 27) to thank her fans and friends who sent their prayers after she was reported as missing and suffering from COVID-19. As reported by REVOLT, the “Friend of Mine” singer spoke with TMZ on Sunday night (Sept. 26) to clarify that she was never missing, but was instead self-isolating at home while recovering from a serious bout with the deadly virus.

On Monday, Price shared her first Instagram post since July, which is when she initially let fans know she contracted COVID-19.

“Thank you for your love, concern and prayers. I truly appreciate them and all of you who sincerely did them,” she wrote on the post. “They are not lost on me. I promise.”

Now that she’s clarified her whereabouts publicly, the 48-year-old said she’s going back on her social media hiatus to focus on her recovery.

“I’m going back to my solace and silence where I can put first things first and that is to be restored, to be healthy and to be whole,” she wrote.

As reported, Price was added to the National Crime Information Center’s missing persons list on Saturday (Sept. 18) after police conducted a welfare check at her Georgia home. The songstress was hospitalized for her intense COVID-19 symptoms last month and has spent the past four weeks at home being treated by health aids.

During her hospital stay, Price said her symptoms became so severe that she “flatlined” and medically “died.”

“I am facing a very uphill battle right now,” she told TMZ tearfully. “I suffered a lot of internal damage and so I have a lot of rehabbing to do until l am able to be what I like to call ‘concert ready’ again.”
