Megan Thee Stallion has joined JAY-Z’s efforts to launch the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment in Brooklyn, New York. Hov’s management company announced the forthcoming university last year.

As reported by REVOLT, the school will offer students undergraduate degrees in sports management, music, music technology, production and entrepreneurship, and will be open for business this fall. Now, Megan has become involved in the program and will reportedly pay for one student’s education and also serve as a university lecturer.

According to TMZ, which broke the news on Wednesday (June 9), Megan is offering one student a full-ride scholarship to the school, which is a partnered effort with Brooklyn’s Long Island University. Prospective students can apply now for the Megan Thee Stallion Four-Year Full Scholarship on the Long Island University website until July 15.

“If I can use my resources to open doors and create opportunities for at least one student, then it’s a victory,” the Grammy Award-winning rapper said in a statement. “It’s important that we encourage our students to pursue their passions and put them in positions to become the next game-changer in whichever fields they choose.”

In addition to the full-ride scholarship, TMZ reports that Megan will also be a guest lecturer for the university’s “Industry Expert Speaker Series.” It’s not clear what her installment in the series will cover, but TMZ writes that Megan will likely speak about her successful career. Megan is also still a student herself and is currently enrolled at the Texas Southern University for a degree in healthcare administration.

According to Roc Nation’s initial announcement about the school, a quarter of the incoming freshmen will also receive full-ride Roc Nation Hope Scholarships

“We’re excited that The Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment will provide unique insight, knowledge and experiences for students and introduce the world to the next generation of unmatched talent,” Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez said in a statement at the time.
