Diddy and J. Cole reunited in New York City this week and it appears to be all love between the two rap stars. Cole has been filming several music videos in New York recently in support of his new album, The Off-Season. In an Instagram post shared by Diddy on Wednesday (June 9), the pair appeared to be hanging out on a balcony overlooking the city.

Diddy tagged Cole in the post and added, “With LOVE.” In another post, he and the North Carolina native seemed to poke fun at their long-rumored scuffle after the 2013 VMAs. On his The Off-Season track “Let Go My Hand,” Cole confirmed that the two rappers did get into an altercation at a party after the awards show.

In Diddy’s post, he and Cole jokingly put their hands up in a boxing fight stance. The Bad Boy Records founder captioned the clip, “and then this happened” with a laughing emoji.

Last month, Cole’s manager Ibrahim “IB” Hamad appeared on the “Say Less” podcast and reflected on the fight. Hamad explained that Diddy and Cole “never had a real issue” and said the situation was blown out of proportion by fans.

The Puff story… I mean remember hearing it and just laughing ’cause I was there,” he said. “I’m not gonna go into detail, but it’s definitely not what people are saying.”

Hamad also revealed that the next day, Diddy and Cole squashed their beef.

Puff was like, ‘I wanna figure this out.’ The next day, he pulled up, they chopped it up,” he said.

Fans are still devouring Cole’s No. 1-debuting album The Off-Season, but there could be new music from the 36-year-old superstar on the way. During his recent Verzuz battle, Swizz Beatz revealed that Cole recorded a verse for an alternative version of DMX’s “Bath Salts.” The song currently features JAY-Z and Nas and appeared on X’s posthumous album, Exodus.
