As we approach the 24th anniversary of his tragic death, The Notorious B.I.G.’s legacy is still live and well. Netflix will debut a new documentary about the fallen hip hop legend on Monday, March 1 and in anticipation of its premiere, REVOLT sharing an exclusive clip from the project that will be sure to leave you wanting more.

Titled Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell, the doc will offer a fresh never-before-seen look at Christopher Wallace — highly regarded as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time — from his close friends and family members who knew the star better than anyone. Moreover, it’s executive produced by friend and Bad Boy collaborator Sean “Diddy” Combs, Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace, Mark Pitts, Stanley Buchthal, and Emmett and Brendan Malloy.

A portion of the movie’s synopsis reads:

“Made in collaboration with Biggie’s estate, I Got A Story To Tell is an intimate rendering of a man whose rapid ascent and tragic end has been at the center of rap lore for more than twenty years. Directed by Emmett Malloy, this intimate documentary features rare footage filmed by his best friend Damion ‘D-Roc’ Butler and new interviews with his closest friends and family, revealing a side of Christopher Wallace that the world never knew.”

Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell

The exclusive clip that REVOLT is debuting actually shows D-Roc capturing such intimate moments with Biggie. Seeing this — and the many other clips in the upcoming doc that Biggie’s friend took of him — is very significant considering the fact that these shots were all done before vlogging became popular. If it wasn’t for D-Roc being ahead of his time with his shooting, we wouldn’t have such legendary footage of The Notorious B.I.G. for the Netflix movie today.

Check out the never-before-seen clip of D-Roc and Big Poppa, which will be featured in Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell, above. Catch y’all March 1.
