Cardi B continued her streak as BET’s most-awarded woman last night (Oct. 5) at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards. The Bronx-born star collected three new accolades — Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Hip Hop Video — for her and Megan Thee Stallion’s chart-topping collaboration, “WAP.”

The new trophies boosted Cardi’s overall BET award tally from 11 to 14, solidifying her as the woman with the most BET Hip Hop awards in the company’s history. The only rappers who have more BET awards than Cardi are JAY-Z, who holds the reigning amount of 22 trophies; Drake with 20; Kendrick Lamar with 19 awards; and Kanye West and Lil Wayne tied at 16.

With the three awards, Cardi and Megan also ended up being the top winners of the night. According to 106.3 The Groove, Cardi is also the first female artist ever to win Best Hip Hop Video twice at the BET Hip Hop Awards after clenching the honor two years ago for “Money.”

“Thank you so much BET! Shouts out to [Megan Thee Stallion],” Cardi tweeted. “We had a great year and it’s gonna be even better next year!”

Cardi and Megan celebrated the one-year anniversary of their six-time platinum collab back in August. At the time, the pair teased that they would like to work together again.

“Wow I can’t believe wappity WAP turned one today,” Cardi tweeted on Aug. 7. “It don’t even feel like it. What a record! [Megan Thee Stallion] we should do it again sometime.”

So far this year, Cardi has shared her singles “Up,” “Wild Side” with Normani and “Rumors” featuring Lizzo. The 28-year-old mother of two has been taking some time off lately after welcoming her son in September. Last week, Cardi addressed fans who asked if she’s had surgery since giving birth.

“People have been giving me amazing compliments on my body. I think it’s because, right now, I got some amazing hips due to my gorgeous son because he was sitting so low,” Cardi said in an Instagram Live. “You know, when your baby’s low, your hips spread.”

“Everybody’s like, ‘Cardi, you so snatched. You had lipo? You had a tummy tuck?’ You cannot do surgery after you give birth, especially me,” she continued, adding, “I lost so much blood, guys. One day, I’m going to tell you guys about my crazy ass delivery.
