Boosie Badazz will always have love for the late Mo3. Two months after the prominent Dallas artist was shot and killed, the Badazz Mo3 rapper is opening up about his friendship with Mo3.

In a new interview with Vlad TV published Saturday (Jan. 30), Boosie describes how loyal and open he was with Mo3. Despite their close friendship, the Baton Rouge rapper says that Mo3 never disclosed any issues with any other rappers around the time of his death. Boosie claims that the killer caught Mo3 “slippin’.”

“Mo3 never discussed no beef with me,” Boosie said. “We never discussed no rap beef. Never discussed another nigga rap beef, ever. No nigga I’ve never been around discussed another nigga rap beef. Even though I know niggas gettin’ it on cause these rappers got smoke everywhere. That’s just how it go. They caught my boy slippin’.”

Prior to the shooting, Boosie and Mo3 had met three years ago at a mall during an event. Once they chopped it up, Boosie put Mo3 on the bill for a show, and the rest is history. The “No Juice” rapper signed the Shottaz Reloaded emcee to his Bad Azz Music imprint. Shortly afterward, Boosie teamed up with Mo3 to work on their joint project Badazz Mo3, which dropped last year on Valentine’s Day.

On November 11, Mo3 was driving on the freeway when a car pulled up beside him and opened fire. He died on the scene. Days later, Boosie was also involved in a shooting that injured his leg. It was the second time Mo3 had been shot within a year. In December 2019, the Dallas rapper was shot in the head but miraculously survived.

“I was just glad I got to experience the Mo3 legacy and be a part of his legacy,” Boosie said.
