On Friday (June 26), Kanye West announced a 10-year partnership between his Yeezy brand and Gap. The upcoming YZY Gap line will reportedly include pieces for men, women and children “at accessible price points” and is expected to launch within the first half of 2021.

Kanye spent the day celebrating his new partnership — among other news — on Twitter, using his #WestDayEver hashtag. Now, it appears the Chicago native has also commemorated the deal with a personalized message printed on a Gap store in his home city.

“Thank God. Hi Chicago, it’s Ye,” a huge mural-like banner attached to the redesigned Gap store reads.

“This is the Gap Store I used to shop at when I would drive my Nissan from the Southside. So Blessed,” Kanye added in the note. “I thank God and I am so humbled at the opportunity to serve. I put my heart into the color palette and every detail.

“I love Tron the original. Do you like stuff. I don’t know what to do with my hands. Love, YZY Yeezy,” the message concluded.

‘Ye’s long-running history with the clothing chain was mentioned by the Global Head of Gap Brand Mark Breitbard in his statement regarding the new partnership.

“We are excited to welcome Kanye back to the Gap family as a creative visionary, building on the aesthetic and success of his Yeezy brand and together defining a next-level retail partnership,” Breitbard said.

Likewise, Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian tweeted that the deal was a “dream come true” for the Jesus Is King rapper.

“If anyone knows Kanye they know how much the Gap and Yeezy means to him so this partnership is his dream come true!” she wrote. “I am so proud of him. You guys are going to love what they have in store for everyone! From working at the Gap to this partnership is so inspiring.
