Future and Drake’s collaborated single “Life Is Good” has officially been certified four-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The news arrived on Tuesday (May 12), four months after its initial January release.
“Life Is Good” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, which ended up leading to Drake’s most recent chart feat. After his Dark Lane Demo Tapes cut “Pain 1993” featuring Playboi Carti entered the chart at No. 7, Drizzy tied Madonna for the highest number of career Top 10 hits, at a whopping 38.
“Life Is Good” also became the first single to spend its first eight consecutive weeks at the No. 2 spot on the chart. The track — and its DaBaby and Lil Baby-assisted remix — will also appear on Future’s forthcoming album, High Off Life. Announced on Tuesday (May 12), the LP is expected to be executive produced by DJ Esco and will feature Drake, Young Thug, NBA Youngboy, DaBaby, Meek Mill, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk, Doe Boy and Lil Baby.
“It’s about life and being good and just enjoying life,” Future previously told XXL about the record. “So many tragedies and catastrophes and everything is going on in the world. And you want to enjoy life, as long as you have it. Waking up, breathing, well, you want to be able to soak it all up and be appreciative for every moment on this earth, every moment that you’re living.”
“This album right here defines me at a creative level,” he continued. “Going to the next level where you just going to the next level and always going outside the box, but still remaining true to my core fans and my core audience. It’s me trying new things.... It’s just very important to me.”
