Lil Baby is opening up about a missed opportunity with Drake.

On Friday (April 3), the Atlanta rapper congratulated Drake on the success of his new single “Toosie Slide,” which quickly became a viral sensation on TikTok. He also explained that he forgot to send in a verse to the dance-assisted song that Drizzy sent to him last month. “@champagnepapi Sent Me This Song A Month Ago My Dumb Ass Ain’t Send The Verse Bacc 💀 !! But That’s Big Bro We Got Shit Comingggggg !!! “Toosie Slide” Out Now 🔥🔥🔥🔥,” he wrote.

After catching wind of Baby’s post, Drake assured him that his human error wasn’t worth fretting over. “That’s light, we got more work to do,” he replied.

In the past few months, the “Yes Indeed” spitter has been quite busy. During an Instagram Live session on March 18, Baby previewed new music and hinted at the release date of his upcoming mixtape, Lamborghini Boys. “I got to sell this sh*t,” he said. “I’m gonna drop a mixtape in 60 days, Lamborghini Boys. All the rap ni**as who got Lamborghinis [get] features … Lamborghini Boys mixtape.”

In addition to working on new music, Baby is giving back to the youth. The 25-year-old rapper launched a scholarship program at his alma mater, Booker T. Washington High School, that will help highlight students’ special performance. “Every year, I’m gonna be giving a scholarship. It’s gonna be the My Turn Scholarship,” he told students while presenting the $150,000 check. “It’s gonna be like the best student in every grade, or something like that. I ain’t really sure how they’re gonna pass it out. But, I’m gonna give out $150,000… This year is the first year. So, hopefully, it can keep getting bigger and better.”
