T-Pain and Chris Brown are back at it again. The famed-2000’s collaborators are teaming up on an upcoming single called “Wake Up Dead.” Nappy Boy and Breezy have been teasing the collaboration for weeks, but now — thankfully — the single has received an official release date for this Friday (April 24).

T-Pain shared the track’s psychedelic cover art on Instagram, writing, “this one super special to me,” adding that his wife Amber Najm helped him write it. On Wednesday (April 22), the mega producer / rapper also revealed a snippet of the incoming track, which finds Brown crooning over a nostalgic beat.

The two last collaborated for T-Pain’s 2011 rEVOLVEr album on “Look at Her Go” and “Best Love Song.” Back in 2007, they famously worked together Lil Mama’s “Shawty Get Loose” and Breezy’s “Kiss Kiss.”

Last year, T-Pain released his 1Up project, which featured collabs with Boosie Badazz, Tory Lanez, O.T. Genasis, Russ, Lil Wayne, Flipp Dinero and more. So far this year, he’s teamed up with Omarion on “Can You Hear Me?” and with K-Camp on the “Lottery (Remix).”

Most recently, he battled it out against Lil Jon during an installment of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz series. The two producers went back-and-forth with hits like “Lovers and Friends,” “Blow The Whistle,” “Lean Back (Remix),” “Gasolina (Remix),” “Buy U A Drank,” “Bartender,” “All I Do Is Win,” “Kiss Kiss,” “Goodies” and more.

During the Live, Lil Jon also previewed a collaboration between himself, Usher and Ludacris called “SexBeat,” which ended up being officially released soon after.

Brown, on the other hand, has appeared on the “Slide (Remix),” alongside A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, H.E.R. and Pop Smoke and on “Safety 2020,” featuring Afro B, GASHI and DJ Snake. Earlier this month, Breezy also announced his forthcoming mixtape with Young Thug.

“Me and Thugga Thugga Got a mixtape,” the Indigo artist wrote on Instagram, adding that the untitled project was “coming soon.”
