While we are all still on a high from the epic battle between Teddy Riley and Babyface, fans have taken to social media to discuss who they think would win in a battle between Bow Wow and Romeo.

The conversation started when Twitter user @PrettyNay21 tweeted, “I’m not gone hold u.. I want an innocent battle, hit for hit between @smoss & @RomeoMiller.” The tweet, which has gained almost 400 retweets and 900 likes, has caused both artists’ names to trend all day as people debate who has the most hits between the two.

Under direction from Jermaine Dupri, Mr. 106 & Park released his debut album Beware of Dog in 2000. With hits like “Bounce With Me,” “Ghetto Girls” and “Puppy Love,” Bow became a household name. The LP debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop albums chart and No. 8 on the Billboard 200.

In 2001, Romeo came on the scene with his self-titled debut album. His hit “My Baby” reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album also featured “The Girlies” and “Your ABC’s.”

Twitter user @rudegyalzeee tweeted, “ROMEO???? Y’all disrespect Bow Wow like he wasn’t putting out hit after hit in the early 2000s. I can’t even name one Romeo song besides ICDC college.”

Another fan tweeted that she wasn’t interested in seeing the two battle, but she is impressed with the philanthropy work that Romeo is doing during COVID-19. Twitter user @BlackHealthNews tweeted, “Absolutely not interested in a Romeo vs Bow Wow Instagram Battle. Tired of folks pitting those two against each other. It’s boring. What’s not boring? @RomeoMiller going around with Master Clean Life and passing out free hand sanitizer to [the] homeless. https://bit.ly/2KnqWYb.”
