Gucci Mane has been tracking down Atlanta’s brightest talents as he recruits up-and-coming artists for his 1017 Record label, which already houses the likes of Hoodrich Pablo Juan and more.

It appears the talent hunt has been going well because on Sunday (March 29), La Flare announced his forthcoming label compilation project called The New 1017. According to his post, Gucci is currently reading the album for a May 25 release.

“#TheNew1017 Dropping Memorial Day,” he captioned the album’s snowy cover art on Instagram. “#SoIcyGang vs Errbody who u wit ??”

So far, no other details have been disclosed about which artists will be represented on the project or how many tracks will be included. Gucci’s clearly gearing up for a heavy-release season, as elsewhere on his Instagram he’s been teasing several forthcoming projects from other 1017 signees, such as Foogiano’s Mayor Season, arriving May 1 and Ola Runt’s Beggin 4 A Body, out on May 24.

Last month, Gucci pledged to give his next-signed artist a million-dollar deal. Furthermore, he even gave potential signees an idea of what his record label contract looks like on Instagram and encouraged his followers to tag worthy artists.

Assuming Gucci will maintain a heavy presence on The New 1017, the compilation album will serve as a follow-up to his 2019 LP, East Atlanta Santa 3. The record featured collaborations with Quavo, Rich the Kid, Asian Doll, Jason Derulo and Kranium. Last year, Gucci also dropped off Woptober II — featuring Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, DaBaby, Kodak Black, Kevin Gates and more — and Delusions of Grandeur, which saw appearances from Gunna, Meek Mill, Jeremih, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Rick Ross and Wiz Khalifa, among others.

Most recently, Guwop tapped Telly Mac, LV The Don, Sh8dygotdajuice and Ace Binladen for their single, “Walk (Remix).”
