Celebrity DJ Derrick “D-Nice” Jones gave people, celebrities included, a night they’ll likely never forget as the outbreak of Coronavirus has had a majority of Americans confined to their homes on quarantine status. D-Nice live-streamed a DJ set from his kitchen from 2 p.m. PST/5 p.m. EST until the wee hours of the morning. He announced the set on his Instagram page writing, “People people! Let’s go! 2pm pst! Tell a friend! Homeschool at Club Quarantine! Get your bottles ready!”
The quarantine party was visited by a number of A-list celebs, including REVOLT TV’s chairman, Sean “Diddy” Combs, former First Lady Michelle Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, Stevie Wonder, Taraji P. Henson, Rihanna, Queen Latifah, Kelly Rowland, Janet Jackson and more.
Social media users expressed immense gratitude for D-Nice’s DJ set, thanking him for providing joy during trying times.
Tracee Ellis Ross wrote on Instagram, “This man right here. I joined the HOME SCHOOL party 2 days in a row and danced myself happy. The hero of the quarantine is @dnice nothing like great music and good vibes. He brought us all together. Thank you D-Nice. Thank you!”

The Club Quarantine party amassed over 100,000 viewers, with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg stopping by asking D-Nice not to shut down the party just yet, according to HighSnobiety.
D-Nice was also thankful for the support he received for the virtual party experience.
“I never would’ve imagined that the best party I would create and DJ would be from the comfort of my own home. Homeschool is a thing! Yesterday was absolutely insane. The amount of artists and friends that virtually partied with me far exceeded my expectations. I’m feeling nothing but gratitude,” he wrote on Instagram. “Thanks to all of you that supported. This has been a great way to keep our spirits high. Blessings! Sending some love to my family. Shout out to all of my industry execs! Much love to all of the artists!”
