Cardi B is not happy with Teyana Taylor feeling unappreciated in the music industry. The “WAP” rapper took to Twitter to say that she loves the singer’s music and hates that she feels how she feels. Taylor shared her Spotify Wrapped stats on Instagram on Friday (Dec. 5) and thanked her fans for their support while expressing her frustration with her lack of recognition in the industry.

The “Bare Wit Me” songstress then said she’s “retiring” from this chapter of her career after feeling “super underappreciated” as an artist. Cardi wasn’t a fan of the singer’s announcement and told her fans that Taylor’s project The Album was her favorite release of the year.

“If you know me then you know Teyana Taylor’s album it’s my favorite of 2020. I swear she really got the best album this year,” Cardi tweeted on Saturday (Dec. 5). “I hate that she feels how she feels cause she sooo talented and the music is soo good.”

A fan asked Cardi which song from the album was her favorite and the Grammy winner gave a detailed response. “Tuh where do I start ……Wake up love, 1800, morning, 69, killa,” she wrote. “Lose each other’s had me in my feelings in the beginning of October. Just a very good project maaaannn.”

Fans were also not happy with Taylor’s announcement that she was retiring, saying it caught them by surprise. It all started when Taylor showed how much people have listened to her music and thanked her fans for supporting her music, adding that she feels she is “overlooked” in the industry, after not receiving any nominations for the 2021 Grammys. “Wow, who did that? Y’all did that! 🥺Thank you 💗 I ain’t gone front in times of feeling super under appreciated as a artist, receiving little to no real push from the ‘machine,’ constantly getting the shorter end of the stick, being overlooked, I mean the list on and on lol.”

“I’m retiring this chapter of my story with the comfort that i can depart with peace of mind seeing that all the hard work & passion put in was indeed loved & supported somewhere in the world!” she continued.

“To all my supporters from day 1 & all my new ones I love you and I thank you for everything & don’t worry y’all know all hustlers have the understanding that when one door closes another will open…either that or I’m pickin da locks petunia!!! So wassup.” The “Gonna Love Me” singer released her third studio album The Album in June 2020 through GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings. The LP’s release was almost exactly two years after her 8 track second album K.T.S.E.
