Zoey Dollaz is reportedly recovering after being shot multiple times in Miami on Wednesday night (Dec. 9). According to Miami-based journalist Tony Centeno, the rapper had been on his way to 305’s Booby Trap On The River strip club when he was attacked. However, Zoey is reportedly in a stable condition as of Thursday morning (Dec. 10).

“My sources say Zoey is doing fine after he was shot multiple times while on his way to Booby Trap in Miami last night,” Centeno wrote on Twitter. “My dawg [Zoey Dollaz] is a true soulja. I know he’ll pull through and recover quickly. Praying for him and his family.”

“Hopefully he’ll be well enough to tell us what happened in his own words,” he added.

On Instagram, Centeno explained that the shooting occurred after Zoey went to Teyana Taylor’s 30th birthday bash. Zoey also tweeted about attending the party earlier in the day.

As more reports began to surface about the incident, fans, friends and collaborators sent their best wishes to the rapper. On Twitter, NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco wrote, “Prayers up for my young bull [Zoey Dollaz].”

Zoey is signed to Future’s Freebandz imprint. He released his major label debut, M’ap Boule, in 2017, followed by 2018’s Sorry Not Sorry and, his most recent, 2019’s Last Year Being Humble. Besides his musical abilities, the former P. Diddy-collaborator is also revered for his philanthropic work in Haiti.

“All [Zoey Dollaz] been doing for the last year is making things happen in Haiti building and cleaning up his home town,” Jessica Fyre tweeted. “I truly hope he pulls thru. He’s one of the realest people I know and love man... this is horrible.”

Earlier this week, Zoey revealed he had purchased solar panels in Haiti to give his “entire neighborhood” electricity.
