On Wednesday (Nov. 18), King Von’s family released a statement through the late rapper’s official Instagram account following his tragic death.

“Thank you to everyone who has showed their outpouring of love for King Von,” the statement read. “You all played a massive role in Von’s accomplishments, and by continuing to play his music and sharing your stories about how he has inspired and influenced you all, you're keeping his legacy alive.”

The Chicago native was fatally gunned down outside of Atlanta’s Monaco Hookah Lounge on Nov. 6 after getting into a physical altercation with Quando Rondo and his crew.

“To celebrate Von’s artistry, vision, and the immense love that he had for his fans, we will be containing his roll out of Welcome to O’Block, while working to share unreleased music and interviews that he devoted his creativity into completing,” the statement continued. “Von had also been working on new endeavors that we will be announcing down the line. Love, Von’s family & team.”

According to Von’s manager, Track, the late rapper owned all of his masters, so his royalties will go to his family. “As a team, our number one focus is to make sure that his immediate family is taken care of,” Track said during an interview with DJ Akademiks. “His mom, you know, his sisters, his brothers. Von had two kids. Just making sure they got a trust, trust funds, whatever income.”

“He owns all his masters. He wasn’t an artist that sold his publishing. So, everything belongs to him,” he continued. “It’s a blessing from God because his kids and his family will be good for the rest of they life.”

Von posthumously received his highest-charting album debut with Welcome To O’Block. The LP debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and is currently sitting at the No. 5 spot.
