Eminem felt the wrath of Ariana Grande fans on Friday (Jan. 17) after releasing his surprise album, Music To Be Murdered By. The Alfred Hitchcock-themed project includes a collaboration with Young M.A. called “Unaccommodating,” which finds the Detroit rapper referencing the suicide bombing at Ariana Grande’s 2017 Manchester Arena concert.

“But it seems like the more they studied my music, the more they remind me of eyeballs/ I’m watching my pupils get cornier/ But I’m contemplating yelling ‘Bombs away’ on the game/ Like I’m outside of an Ariana Grande concert waiting,” he raps.

The United Kingdom bombing was ruled a terrorist attack and killed 23 people, injuring 139 others. Grande and other attendees have since said they’ve experienced psychological trauma since the bombing.

Grande fans, and others, flocked to Twitter to point out the “Unaccommodating” lyrics and accuse Eminem of making fun of the incident.

“Eminem literally just made a joke about the manchester bombing at ariana grande’s concert… that is just so fu**ing sick, y’all better not give this man any attention,” one Twitter user wrote. “People literally lost their lives, and you’re going to release music and try to make a profit off of them?”

“Im a big fan of Eminem and sure, he is known for his controversial lyrics but that doesn’t excuse him for being able to say whatever he wants,” wrote another. “His latest lyric regarding the Manchester terrorist attack is incredibly distasteful and inappropriate.”

On the contrary, Eminem supports pointed out that he donated money and encouraged others to donate to the British Red Cross following the attack. Others also remembered that Grande defended comedian Pete Davidson, her ex-fiancé, for making jokes about the Manchester bombing.

Music To Be Murdered By arrived with a video for “Darkness,” which depicted the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting. The surprise LP features Royce Da 5’9”, Joel Ortiz, Anderson .Paak, Black Thought, Q-Tip, Young M.A., Ed Sheeran, a posthumous verse from Juice WRLD and more.
