“You can’t argue with a fool.”

Eminem was reportedly following 50 Cent’s advice when he declined to respond to Nick Cannon’s diss tracks. Speaking to TheWrap Wednesday at ABC’s Television Critics Association press tour day, 50 addressed the beef.

“I told him don’t even say nothing to him,” 50 revealed. “The record is terrible.”

Cannon ended up releasing three songs, “The Invitation,” “Pray For Him” and “Canceled: Invitation,” all aimed at Eminem. The reignited feud broiled from Em’s verse in Fat Joe’s track, “Lord Above.”

“You can’t argue with a fool,” 50 continued. “When you understand that a person is not registering even when they’re losing, then the argument goes forever. So you should just stop.”

The “Power” producer is no stranger to rap beefs, either. He’s famously trolled several hip hop acts, most notably Ja Rule, in recent years.

Besides the advice, 50 also sided with Em on Instagram.

“I don’t understand to save my life why someone would pick a fight with EM,” he wrote in a post. “He is a different kinda animal, I haven’t seen a motherfu**er come close to beating him man. hey Nick that sh*t was trash, I oughta kick you in yo ass when I see you PUNK!”

The beef, which Cannon said he won, gained steam and other commentators, despite Em not releasing a retaliation track.

“Aye [Nick Cannon] you better stop rap jumping my ni**a marshall before me, 50, Royce, crooked i, Lloyd banks, j Cole, Kendrick, logic, tech n9ne, big Sean, and king los get busy on yo ass.... pause,” Joyner Lucas had volunteered on Twitter. “Keep playin.”

Fat Joe stayed in the middle, complimenting both artists.

“I love Nick Cannon, he’s a good guy,” he told TMZ at the time. “Eminem’s a very good friend of mine, and they got their little personal hip hop thing going.”
