The song is another single from his ‘The Love Language’ project.

Back in May, Trevor Jackson officially revealed his debut album The Love Language. To keep the momentum going, he made sure he had a steady stream of brand new visuals coming, including ones for cuts like “Tiny Dancer” and “Your Everything.” His newest offering is the official video for “Pictures By My Pool” and it’s only right it took place at an actual pool party. On the song, Trevor sings about how some people may just show up to get a flick for the gram:

Cocoa butter rubbed in, sun tan all over your skin/ Selfie, flexin’ with your best friend sexy, poke it out for that Gram/ I’ll let you get a little leeway, but you act like you don’t need me/ Girl, I’m not tryna take your freedom, but I’ve been feelin’ like all you wanna do is

Flick up by my pool wanna take pictures by my pool/ Now she rockin’ FENTY ‘cause it’s trendy, never met a ten-piece that’s so empty/ She wanna take pictures by my pool, she want another follow, but got plenty, will that finally make her feel more pretty?/ She wanna take—

The album is led by the hit singles like the classic Lil Jon, The East Side Boyz, Luda and Usher-sampling “Just Friends” as well as “Get To You.” The latter track is accompanied by a cinematic music video that shows Jackson’s obsessive love that amplifies the song’s message. The Love Language includes production credits from Jackson himself, Harvey Mason Jr., and Ayo & Keyz, and more.

Jackson made sure this release was filled with intention, as he delivers it with a message in mind: we need more understanding of love. “Love is the universal language of all things and I hope this album gives people more confidence to understand their own love languages and how to communicate them,” Trevor Jackson says via press release. “The power of this music will not only bring people together, but it’ll also bring people closer to themselves.”
