Duke Deuce brings the energy on new “WTF!” single

The track is set to appear on his forthcoming ‘Crunkstar’ album.

Duke Deuce is steadily gearing up to drop off his Crunkstar project, and he just shared his latest preview. His freshly released “WTF!” single channels all the reasons Deuce rose to popularity, including his energetic flow and is named after his well-loved ad-lib. On the track, he rides the ominous oldhauntie-produced beat with ease. The song is a follow-up to his recent project Duke Nukem, which included appearances from Offset, A$AP Ferg, Foogiano, Lil Keed, and more.

Prior to that, Duke Deuce delivered Memphis Massacre 2 last year, the sequel to 2018’s Memphis Massacre that boasted 12 tracks and additional features from Lil Yachty, Lil Thad, Lil Jon, Juicy J, and Project Pat — the last three of whom appeared on the remix of Deuce’s breakthrough single “Crunk Ain’t Dead.” The song is a remake of Pat’s classic Mista Don’t Play: Everythangs Workin’ cut “If You Aint From My Hood.” Duke grew up around the Memphis sound and recalls the likes of Three 6 Mafia and 8Ball & MJG as influences, as well as his father Duke Nitty, who produced the Memphis classic “S.O.U.T.H. Parkway” by Gangsta Blac.

In a conversation from earlier this year, Duke Deuce took some time to open up about his life. “Some people need to understand I’m a full-time father, and I’m still grinding,” he said. He then ensured he’s still as humble as it gets. “Got a lot of responsibilities and a lot on my plate, and I’m still in this motherfucker going crazy like ain’t shit going on. People should understand I’m a down-to-earth person. I’m not an extra Hollywood ass n***a. I love the kids, and I’m an open-minded person. Just all-around 100. I don’t like for people to feel like they can’t talk to me; if you see me in real life, you can run it to me, bro. I ain’t hiding.”
