Trippie Redd is most certainly one of the leading faces of the younger generation of rappers these days. Emerging to stardom over the past five years, the 22-year-old rapper has done quite well for himself as he’s developed somewhat of a cult following. Since the release of his debut mixtape A Love Letter To You back in 2017, it’s been uphill for him and he’s done more than enough groundwork to solidify his spot in this industry for a very long time. The energy he’s brought to the industry only enhances his artistry. Today (Aug 20), Trippie unleashed his latest LP, Trip At Knight, and the star-studded effort is one to remember for sure.

Redd’s fourth studio album Trip At Knight is the follow up to his 2021 Pegasus: Neon Shark Vs. Pegasus deluxe LP (presented by Travis Barker) and it is nothing short of flame emojis. In a sit down with XXL earlier this year in May, Trippie Redd named his top five rappers of all time and two artists among the list were Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti.

From there, he went into brief detail about their influence for the younger generation these days: “Listening to Uzi’s shit back in 2015-16, that shit was different. And Carti, at that time. They was on some other shit for the young niggas. They did some crazy shit for us. They really opened doors for us to do a lot of shit that we do. You know, the niggas from the SoundCloud era might not say it too much, but definitely, they some of the G.O.A.T.s from our era.”

Trip At Knight spans a total of 18 records and includes features from Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, the late Juice WRLD and XXXtentacion, Lil Durk, Polo G, Icewear Vezzo, Babyface Ray, Sada Baby and more!
