Rexx Life Raj is seven for seven. The California rapper has been spoiling his fans with consistency ever since he promised weekly drops leading up to his next project. First up was “Lockheed Martin,” followed by cuts like “Alpharetta” and “Kimbo Slice.” Now, he makes his return with the freshly released “Red Lobster Biscuits.” On the track, Rexx opens up with his bars about focusing on himself:

Ay, look, I never thought my bubble up would hurt n***as, how you mad at me I did ten thousand and I was at work n***a/ That’s zero some thinking but he think it make sense, I promise that my wins don’t take away from your wins/ Spent 250 on a steak

As usual, Raj had to sprinkle a bit of humor somewhere in the video, and this time it arrived in the form of a disclaimer he put at the beginning of the visual. “This video was shot at one of Raj’s album sessions somewhere in the Hollywood Hills,” he writes. “The Runtz chain that Raj is wearing isn’t actually his. It belongs to David Teale aka DTB. Raj wanted to wear it to feel more like a real rapper because real rappers wear shiny things that sparkle and glisten in the sun. Mission accomplished Raj. You did it.”

In terms of visuals, Raj shared videos for cuts like “Bad Bad Bad” and “Bounty,” and the latter track boasts production from !llmind. The song is the outro track from his California Poppy 2 project, which made its debut back in November. The eight-track body of work included features from Kojey Radical and Juvenile. The first installment of California Poppy came out in 2018 and boasted assists from Will Fraker, and the legendary E-40. In 2019, Rexx Life Raj continued his Father Figure series with its third addition Father Figure 3: Somewhere Out There.
