Just few weeks ago, DDG joined his fellow peers as he landed a slot on the XXL Freshmen list for 2021. Since then, he’s kept his momentum going strong, dropping off visuals for tracks like “No Kizzy” and joining 2KBABY for “Zack & Cody.” Last night (July 19), he shared his latest clip titled “Midwest Flow.” On the track, he reps his region proudly as he floats over the beat with ease:

I was on the Westside, chillin’ with a chicken head/ She said she was single but that wasn’t what her n***a said, she don’t wanna fuck, I told the bitch to give a little head/ Huh, yeah, give a little neck, I don’t really want a kiss, just a lil’ peck/ I ain’t got a AR, this a lil’ TEC, pew, pew-pew (DDG)/ Put a Patek on my bitch because her pussy good (Gang)

Back in March, DDG tapped in with super-producer OG Parker to be his co-pilot for a joint EP titled Die 4 Respect. The project was preceded by singles like “Money Long” and “Rule #1” with Yachty, and he continued the hype by dropping off the official visual for the Coi Leray-assisted “Impatient” and the Tyla Yaweh-assisted “Hakuna Matata.” D4L is equipped with 11 songs and a dope roster of features from names like Coi Leray, YoungBoy NBA, PnB Rock, and more.

DDG has been making headlines as well not only for his music, but most recently due to his victory on the LivexLive’s Social Gloves: Battle Of The Platforms boxing event on Saturday (June 12). He proudly repped his YouTube set against TikTok star Nate Wyatt. In addition to that, he dropped off his “iCarly (Freestyle)” which pays homage to one of Nickelodeon’s most coveted series’ during the tail end of the 2000’s.
