This summer, singer Jillian Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman — better known as LION BABE — will be gifting fans with their third studio LP Rainbow Child, which has been led by the singles “Can’t Get Enough,” “Frida Kahlo,” and “Hot In Herre,” a trippy re-imagining of Nelly and The Neptunes’ 2002 hit single. In a recent social media post, it was revealed that the forthcoming body of work is close to completion:

“Still on a high from a beautiful creative weekend with our brilliant team, wrapping up #RainbowChild … June has been full of blossoming, expansion and transformation. My birthday is right around the corner and I’m just so grateful for my personal journey and our path as a band. Heart is so full and the excitement grows each day as we get closer to this album!”

For their latest, the soulful duo have liberated a new offering titled “Signs,” a collaboration with Ethiopian-American talent Siimbiie Lakew. Produced by Astro Raw, the vibrant track sees the artists harmonizing about various moments that help lead you through your personal journey — an idea that’s further explained by LION BABE via press release:

“The song is about being aware of how signs show up in your life whether it is through people, patterns or life experiences and how that can guide or warn you.”

Upon its eventual release, Rainbow Child will follow 2019’s Cosmic Wind, a beautiful mix of R&B, funk, and electronic sounds that contains 15 songs and additional contributions from Raekwon, Bilal, and Leikeli47. Prior to that, their debut album, Begin, was released in 2016 via Polydor/Interscope. Outside of their own work, LION BABE could also be heard on Disclosure’s Caracal standout “Hourglass.”

Fans can press play on LION BABE and Siimbiie Lakew’s “Signs” video below. Hopefully, we’ll get an official drop date for Rainbow Child sooner than later.
