For the past few weeks, fans of “Godfather of Harlem” have been able to enjoy accompanying songs from the series — thus far, we’ve heard ADÉ and India Shawn’s “Prince Hakeem,” Swizz Beatz, DMX, and French Montana’s “Been To War,” Melvoni, Badda TD, and Brillo’s “Forgot About the Streets,” and Rick Ross and Cruel Youth’s “No Bark When I Bite.” Today, Buddy contributes with his new single “Shit Don’t Feel Right,” a J. White Did It and Harmony Samuels-produced cut that focuses on the show’s main character, ‘60s New York City gangster Bumpy Johnson:

“You don’t wanna mess with Bumpy Johnson, you don’t wanna fuck around in Harlem, nigga, you must be crazy, you crazy, you crazy, uh, shut the fuck up, you’re all talk, nigga, we just my bosses, don’t you know we crazy, we crazy, we crazy, uh? We finna buss it wide open, so I suggest you lay low, ’cause this shit might get crazy, get crazy, get crazy, uh.../”

Back in 2018, Buddy unveiled his official debut LP Harlan & Alondra, which saw 12 tracks with additional features from Guapdad 4000, A$AP Ferg, Ty Dolla $ign, Snoop Dogg, and Khalid. The following year, he would unveil a deluxe edition of Harlan & Alondra with four additional cuts for his fans to enjoy.

Currently, the world awaits a new album from Buddy, especially after receiving high quality singles like “Faces” with Lucky Daye, “Black 2,” “Ain’t Sweet” with Matt Ox, and “Glitch” with Tinashe. Fortunately, he did team up with Kent Jamz for last year’s Janktape Vol. 1, and contributed to dope cuts like Smoke DZA’s “Get You Some,” Rapsody’s “Phylicia,” Dreamville’s “Costa Rica” and “Don’t Hit Me Right Now,” Terrace Martin’s “Trail Mix,” Jac Ross’ “It’s OK To Be Black 2.0,” and Marc E. Bassy’s “Cold.”
