After dropping off her remix to CJ’s “Whoopty,” DreamDoll’s latest freestyle is another example of her repping her city once again. The new “Collection (Freestyle)” clip takes place in a New York City bodega with Dream playing multiple roles. As she switches between the cashier, the chopped cheese chef, and customer, she delivers her bars with ease:

N***a look dirty, I ain’t give him no play, gotta dub him every morning just to start off my day/ Remind me of this n***a Barrie, he be doin’ too much (He do got a few bitches) but a few is enough/ But really none of them n***as is my type, this dude always tryna fly me out, say that n***a name on the flight

In terms of recent collabs, the Bronx artist connected with Yung Pooda for “Chicken N Grits” and also with Aaria for the “Thug Love (Remix).” Her last full-length project was 2019’s Life In Plastic 2, which included features from Lil Kim, David Lee, cupcaKe, and LouGotCash. Last year saw the release of a few collaborative singles from her like “It’s A Vibe” with Saucy Santana and LightSkinKeisha, “Watchu Like” with Rah Swish, “Ah Ah Ah” with Fivio Foreign, and her own single “On Ya Head.”

In an interview with REVOLT from earlier this year, Dreamdoll shared some insight about how she gets over writer’s block as an artist:

I don’t overthink. I don’t have a notebook filled with songs. I go into my notes [application] and I work off the top of my head. As an artist, I will say I worked on learning how to create metaphors, learning how to switch up my flow and work on my tone. I feel like practicing, trying and consistently recording will allow someone to get better at their craft.
