A great way to make sure the classics will continue to live on is when present-day artists put their own spin on them, and PnB Rock and K Camp are the latest to do so. The two have taken Ginuwine’s well-loved “My Whole Life Has Changed” record and added their own twist. On the new drop, PnB sets the vibe with his opening hook, which closely follows the original melody:

My whole life has changed, ever since that I got rich/ I done came through pulled up in some shit, diamonds on wrists (Woo) My whole life has changed, when then racks came through, that’s when she knew/ I’m that n***a (Yeah) I’m that n***a (Yeah)

I’m that nigga, ever since I done got richer, I just might fuck on yo sister/ I just might bust down a Richard (Yeah) no kizzy, I made it out of the trenches/ Remember them days I was catchin’ them plays, on the block it was me and my hitters

At the top of this year, PnB Rock dropped his single titled “Rose Gold,” a track notable for its posthumous appearance from King Von. “Rose Gold” follows another single from PnB Rock titled “Ordinary,” which features the late legend Pop Smoke. Prior to that, he teamed up with Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz for “Fendi.” His last official LP, the sophomore drop TrapStar Turnt PopStar, was released in May of 2019 and saw 18 tracks with several assists from Lil Durk, Tee Grizzley, XXXTentacion, Quavo, Diplo, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and more.

K Camp’s Kiss 5 project arrived last year in April just time to be played through fans speakers as they coped with quarantine. Months later, the Atlanta artist circled back around to drop the deluxe version of the project, which now includes six additional tracks and a new feature from Sevyn Streeter. Prior to the project’s arrival, K Camp dropped off cuts like his “Genuine Love (Freestyle)” to hold fans over until the release of the deluxe album.
