Nigeria’s very own Rema has unleashed another dance-ready track, just in time as people gear up for the warmer weather coming up. He keeps it straight to the point with his lyrics, with his unique delivery making the entire song worth a listen:

In love with your booty bounce, girl, I’m in love with your booty bounce/ Hmm when I weigh the thing, weigh one thousand pounds/ Girl, this night we dey go like seven rounds/ Baby girl, say you fine, baby girl, say you fine

Most recently, Rema can be heard alongside Stefflon Don and Tiwa Savage on Don’s “Can’t Let You Go (Remix).” Rema stormed onto the scene in 2019 with his four-track, self-titled EP. The project boasted his monstrous hit “Dumebi,” the feel-good hit that was blasting through people’s speakers for the entire summer, racking up well over 50 million total streams. He’s kept busy since then, sharing singles such as “Woman,” “Alien,” and “Ginger Me.” He also has been dishing out assists on songs like DJDS’s “Simple Things” alongside Tory Lanez and Aluna’s “The Recipe” with KAYTRANADA.

Rema also recently grabbed another major accomplishment, as the new “Bounce” single soared to the pinnacle of Nigeria’s top songs chart on Apple Music, a great accomplishment considering Nigeria’s forever-booming music scene. “Number 1 song in the country!” he excitedly writes before making sure to express his gratitude to his fans for accepting him and all his crazy ideas. “Yo I owe this one to all my Ravers worldwide, thank y’all for accepting my crazy ideas & thank y’all for vouching for me with your voice hence seeing me as a special kid even when the rest of the world want me to act normal. It’s only up from here, I love you all. R4L!”
