Pooh Shiesty is officially gearing up to release his Shiesty Season, and he just dropped off a taste for listeners to get a taste of what’s to come. The mixtape is slated to hit streaming services next month on Feb. 5. In the new “Guard Up” music video, Shiesty is seen enjoying his time at a pool party while he delivers his opening hook:

I just crossed another n***a over, tell ‘em, “Guard up.” Double tap the button up on the key, the car gon’ start up. I lost some members at a early age, it left me scarred up. Chopper gang, the bands and sticks and drums when we march up. I just crossed another nigga over, tell ‘em, “Guard up.” Double tap the button up on the key, the car gon’ start up. I lost some members at a early agе, it left me scarred up. Choppеr gang, the bands and sticks and drums when we march up.

In 2020, Pooh Shiesty released a slew of singles such as “First Day In LA” and “YANO” with frequent collaborator Foogiano, “Twerksum,” ABCGE” featuring BIG30, and “Monday to Sunday” featuring Lil Baby and BIG30. Back in November, Pooh Shiesty enlisted Lil Durk for their collaboration track “Back in Blood.” The official music video was released at the top of this year and features scenes of them partying with their respective crews, and even includes a scene of the late fallen soldier King Von.

Although he’s certainly gaining traction, Pooh Shiesty definitely has some slept-on track.s In a recent sit-down, he reveals what he thinks his most underrated track is. ”’At It Again.’ It got a meaning, too. You gotta know what be going on, keep up with my life. I was just out, this was before I was signed, the police had took everything, so I had nothing. You just gotta know how it be going on, listen to them lyrics.”
