Following the release of his recent collab project with Harry Fraud, titled The Director’s Cut, Curren$y just dropped off a visual for one of the cuts off the project, “White Ashes.” The Yuset Pozo-directed video is the embodiment of Curren$y’s known aura, as he strolls through the streets of Los Angeles unbothered and vibing out to his track, and stopping at his JetLife Apparel store along the way.

The Director’s Cut came after The Outrunners, which was yet another joint project from the two. They also dropped La Marina in 2018, which featured a smooth West Coast vibe throughout and included features from Smoke DZA, French Montana, Action Bronson, and Wiz Khalifa. One project per year isn’t enough for Curren$y, as he went on to release The Tonite Show with Curren$y with DJ Fresh, Spring Clean with Fuse, 3 Piece Set, Smokin’ Potnas with Fendi P, and The Green Tape with Cardo this year.

Just a few days ago, the New Orleans veteran shared a new visual for his track “Mugallo Red” featuring Rick Ross, and also assisted Willie The Kid on his new single “Brewster’s Millions.” Outside of music, Curren$y also released an exclusive sneaker collab with BAPE earlier this year.

Curren$y and Harry Fraud have endless cuts in their vault, enough to put out multiple projects per year. In a recent interview with REVOLT, Curren$y explained the process he and Fraud go through when they cook up, and it’s as organic and free-flowing as it gets:

“He didn’t know it was going to happen. He sends me beats throughout…life. Sometimes he’ll send me three beats. Sometimes he may send me four, five or eight. I don’t know when I’m going to listen to them. I just happened to pull it up Sunday and those were the first eight beats. That’s how we do. He didn’t know. I hit him like, “Here we go. We have a project.” If he doesn’t come out in a day like that, I don’t f**k with it because then it feels like work. The whole point of this s**t is it’s fun and you really don’t feel like you’re working. I like people to tell me how hard I’m working because it doesn’t feel like I’m working”
